Something to Come

from Nooks and Crannies by Whetherman

/

lyrics

I gazed upon an aeroplane
Decending over the golden gate
And I am amazed in this case
How quickly things pick up pace,
Yet they manage to slow down

I wrote it in a sonnet
That I'm ending those open wounds
Using white lies, cause they're harmless
And they cover my misgivings too

I need the wind to change speed
Bring all that peace in new beginnings
Something to come
Make it something to come

I relinquish the excess weight
Saving only my time and fate
And I will them frequently
Lend and send each word spoken
That it might be good to slow down
