Seeds for Harvest

1.
The Circle 02:56
I went riding to leave the county Far behind my reckless ways But the wind took with it's passing And now I can't forget a moment since that day I was sailing on a broken vessel Like a feeling lost in the limelight But the fallen take the circle And I can't resent the effort nor the chance I have fortune through less desires It's just home and then what you love And if I see more of either I won't have to ask why it's in all of us
2.
Seemed to Be 03:05
I'm not one to say that I need second chances Anymore now that I'm speaking more of my mind Yet it's not as good as it somehow seemed to be I'm not one to say I teach a course of action Anymore now that I'm speaking more of my mind Yet it's not as good as it somehow seemed to be The road is a home for wild hearts Don't set course from the minute you think You're ready to know it Ready to know it? But I'm not one to say I keep an honest conscience Much more now that I'm speaking more of my mind And it's not as bad as it somehow seemed to be
3.
I put my ghosts in the water I won't have to hide them anymore I went down to the shore To guilt out my ghosts in the water I went down to the bottom of the ocean Where my ghosts can be set free They've been chained to the bottom of my soul Down in the darkest depths of me You can't touch the flame too hot You can't steer the reigns you're not Clean till you guilt out your ghosts in the water
4.
Sea Line 04:59
To sit and see the flock far into the sea line Circling the hunting ships for remains or uncommon charity Is just like mankind upon their mother earth Crowded and missing pieces Small or large their setting up tomorrow's sorrow Convoluted in theory It's not to bore the trained ear Some will never grasp, I fear That the heart not easily shaken Is a homestead of patience Should you grow skeptic of my understanding Employ and emote what you can I've stopped and I've ran since I've began Though I can't say when I will again It's convoluted in theory It's not to bore the trained ear Some will never grasp, I fear That the heart not easily shaken Is a homestead of patience Whether you're in or you're out of wealth Don't lay to rest those careless wishes Put forth the able man Charter on that sea line
5.
Where's that familiar place An ever constant face To keep your reminders at bay Well behaved and in proper place That being said I can't pretend As if I can form words that have already been said When I have a blank page To find company in again Friends, the ones with wholesome responses Pardon the fevers that arise Upon our fury minded heads When we're doubting certainty In the calming of the wind There is few worth the choosing Of your friends you wont be losing in the end And all this considered I confess There are delicate days ahead And I cannot decide if I can confide in anyone Should I need to
6.
The Orchard 05:01
Humming little bird climbing the side of the tree Immersed in ordinary things When it rains it may be pouring Fleeting is a feeling that's adored In the orchard the wind blows often Less the storm shall rage fierce There's a shelter held near Where the fruit has become rotten And it's hard to forget the tales When I'm carrying the times in my sails Where nothing changes until it fails Early morning light The fall brings leaves to my feet With the fog and cold toiling To send the birds south of here In the orchard the wind dies often And I know that I'm getting old Though I once have been told That it all goes on without us In the orchard, sorrow is kind Spent longing in the very scene Where we last stood gathering A breath of affection and mind It was all in it's place I can't rewind, or reverse I can't repaid nor rehearse
7.
Face the facts You're in like Flynn To decisions on a whim Or stored in the cracks They're yours to behold It's a choice that can be sold Into what you've become When you're too numb to face the facts Face the facts No kind is like the other Brother where you'd resound I'm sure to encounter And it's ours to behold It's a choice that can be sold Into what you've become When you're too numb to face the facts Face the facts You're bound for failure It's here and there But isn't it everywhere And it's yours to behold It's a choice that can be sold Into what you've become When you're too numb to face the facts
8.
If we go our separate ways now This surely will pass You can grasp a hold or calm down before you think again to ask Is this troublesome to me to be deceived? You just burn burn burn like a wick in the sun Should you change for anyone I don't speak for anyone When I say it can be done I'm sure we both know it is what it is Just walking in shapes Horns softly play That I want you to do what you want to do You just burn burn burn like a wick in the sun Should you change for anyone
9.
Summer isn't just a season I intent to implore my reasons Heighten the peaks that I often keep So as I speak I arrive at the deep Summer blooms with every inch of reach Holding an infancy without complacency That I embrace once more
10.
Well you told me once I couldn't have seen Such a thing meant for me And in the foreground There's a melody softening To bring me back down Circumstances draw second chances Thirds and fourths Until none are left And in the foreground There's a melody softening To bring me back down Falling for your luck Easy does it now Only you take the fall Only you pick yourself up And in the foreground There's a melody softening To bring me back down So I make the path wide Now that I've taught my eyes To see for themselves And not anything else And in the foreground There's a melody softening To bring me back down
11.
I’m not against what you say I just haven’t felt the sway Of such abrasive force There’s not a question I can ask When you’re making points that are well passed The safe and the harmless tones I’m not against what you say I just haven’t been the rain or luck Though I’ve known their course There’s not a question I can ask When you’re making points that are well passed The safe and the harmless tones And I am not trained Nor am I well versed In these conscious states But I know now, how it feels To be wrongly refused of what you maintain Do you crave the tension and the taste? Do you play the heart and the face?
12.
Hey, hey, why have you gone astray now No no, no need to run no more Hey, hey, I know I’ve worn your soul down But I can give you plenty reasons not to flee this town Hey, hey, I want to hear you’re coming home now No, no, it’s looking grim I’m sure now Cause it’s been hours, days and weeks Without the sun to shine on me and Penelope Hey, hey, I learned you moved across the sea No no, no way I’ll wait another day Hey, hey, I’ve gotten on that plane now Because I can give you plenty reasons not to flee that town
13.
Describe the scenery A surreal almost freezing feeling That won’t allow a moment to set in Yet it counts, and though it’s off and on I’m haunted by a cost bestowed upon It’s like holding fickle smoke that’s heavy as hope Are you in the sun-filled clouds To retrieve this burying doubt? I’m shipping off a letter of ink and tree Departing to find the peace that I seek Liberation lost, the flame and the rock Trust in the afterthought that I’m finding the voice of Emily And I write to you of the changing seasons As if you’d came home late, hadn’t seen them The grass fields raised higher now And it covers the mountains strewn you once knew We were laying warm over the damp ground With a kind softness of the silence and the sounds Will you be staying long, or realize where you belong?
14.
Ma and Pa 03:37
I asked the sun where do you lay Why do you hide from the milky way And if the moon shows your rays Then why don’t you touch everyday? I asked my Ma about time and waves She explained to me they’re one in the same And though I’d thought that was hard to maintain I see it all now in the colors and shapes I asked my Pa about following plans He held his heart like I grew into a man He said what can you make with your own hands Without a need for luster or demand? I am only need of a mountain green Of a stone rolling me towards the sea And silence to hear them ring With the eyes of a world that sings My lover, too, she sees these things Now that gospel ran through me like a thunder calling And for years I’d been wandering and patiently stalling My kin are a rambling and a learning while falling And asking the same questions to their Ma and their Pa
